Sleeping Sickness Parasites That Infected Humans For 10,000 Years Descended By Asexual Cloning

Researchers found parasites that cause African sleeping sickness have been cloning itself over and over in the past 10,000 years. The species' nonsexual reproduction could lead to its eventual demise, not in the near future but in about several thousand more years.
